Jaipur : Wall Painting Photo

Jaipur and Rajasthan are worldwide known for creative folk designs. Mandana painting is one of the folk art of Rajasthan which was used to decorate the mud houses in all the regions of Rajasthan including Jaipur. This is a primitive art which is preserved and still alive in Rajasthan. Generally lime water and ocher were used for wall paintings the walls of mud houses of Rajasthan. Though, every region of Rajasthan had a different style of Mandana painting, but the theme were mainly based on daily mundane activities of villagers, agriculture, birds, animals etc.

Jaipur Jawahar Kala Kendra is a place where a Shilp Gram is founded to preserve and exhibit the mud houses and huts of the old-time of various regions of Rajasthan. Here, in Jaipur Jawahar Kala Kendra, you can find those mud houses decorated beautifully by the Mandana paintings.

जयपुर और राजस्थान सम्पूर्ण विश्व में अपनी रचनात्मक लोक कला और शिल्प के लिये जाना जाता है. मांडना राजस्थान की ऐसी ही एक रचनात्मक लोक शिल्प कला है जिससे पुराने समय में घर के आँगन और दीवारों को सजाया जाता था. राजस्थान में आज भी यह कला जीवित है. मांडना एक प्रकार की चित्रकारी है, जिसमे बहुधा ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों के लोग अपने कच्चे मकानों को सजाने के लिये चूना इस्तेमाल किया करते थे और घर की दीवारों को अपने रोजमर्रा के जीवन से सम्बंधित विषयों से चित्रित करते थे, जैसे पशु, पक्षी, खेत-खलिहान आदि से जुड़े चित्र सर्वाधिक मांडे जाते थे.

इस चित्र में आप जयपुर में स्थित जवाहर कला केंद्र के शिल्पग्राम में दिखाए गए एक ग्रामीण शैली के मकान व उसकी दीवारों पर की गयी मांडना चित्रकारी देख सकते हैं जो सचमुच बहुत ही खूबसूरत है.
