Algoza is a woodwind instrument which resembles a pair of wooden flutes. Sound is generated by breathing into it rapidly. Uniqueness of this folk musician in the photo is, he plays Algoza with his nostrils rather than mouth. He is known worldwide for his this unique art. 2 meter long moustaches is the another specialty of this folk musician from which he makes a bun on his head.

जयपुर का शिल्प और कला हमेशा से लोगों को चमत्कृत करता रहा है. राजस्थान और जयपुर का लोक-संगीत भी उनमें से एक है. इस फोटो में आप जयपुर के एक लोक-संगीत कलाकार को अलगोज़ा नामक वाद्य यन्त्र बजाते हुए देख रहे हैं.

अलगोज़ा लकड़ी से बना बांसुरी जैसा वाद्य यन्त्र होता है जो ऐसा दिखलाई पड़ता है कि मानो दो बांसुरियों का जोड़ा हो. इसे तेजी से जल्दी जल्दी फूँक मार कर बजाया जाता है. फोटो में जो लोक-संगीत कलाकार आप देख रहे हैं, उसकी विशेषता यह है कि वह अलगोज़ा मुँह से नहीं बल्कि नाक से बजाता है. अपनी इस अनूठी कला के कारण यह देश-विदेश में जाना जाता है. इस कलाकार की एक अन्य विशेषता इसकी २ मीटर लंबी मूछें हैं, जिनसे यह अपने सर पर जूडा बनाता है.
