जयपुर यूं तो राजस्थान के विभिन्न शिल्प व कला के लिये मुख्य व्यापारिक केंद्र है, परंतु आजकल जयपुर में बंगाल का बांस का बना फर्नीचर भी बहुत लोकप्रिय हो रहा है. बंगाल से रोजगार की तलाश में जयपुर आये बहुत से बंगाली परिवार बांस से फर्नीचर की बुनाई करते हैं. चूंकि उनके पास अपने कौशल और सामान को प्रदर्शित करने के लिये शोरूम नहीं हैं, सो ये लोग अपना फर्नीचर जयपुर की कुछ मुख्य सड़कों के किनारे फुटपाथ पर प्रदर्शित करते हैं, जो कि सिर्फ जयपुरवासियों को ही नहीं बल्कि विदेशी पर्यटकों का भी ध्यान अपनी तरफ अवश्य ही खींचता है.
